Be warned.stay away at all costs!Cons:the first one i got the antenna lug fell inside the unit when i attached it. I got a replacment and it worked great for the 1st day. The 2nd day the fan started to roar (loud as can be) and the wifi would not work unless you uplugged and rebooted. By the 3rd day the range dropped to 2 feet! (the most powerful wifi router became the least powerful wifi router) and the 2nd unit was returned.Overall Review:I would stay away from this at all costs.
It sounds great on paper, but this company has serious quality control issues. If you want range, just got a couple $50 routers and clone the mac addresses.
It is a shame this company sells garbage. You can tell by hearing the fan inside that it is a cheap fan and if your unit works more than 2 days, it is only a matter of time till it fails. Disappointed is the best word to describe this product. Pros:Good Range when it works. First unit lost 70% transmit power after a few days.Cons:Unit is not reliable. We have been working with Bountiful Tech Support for over 1-month, done several firmware upgrades and still can't keep a constant wireless connection.
Reboots work, but auto reboot seems to not work.Overall Review:We're giving up on the Bountiful and buying a name brand unit. Careful, Bountiful has not agreed to a refund even though their product does not work as specified, and the distributors only do 30-days. Pros:Range is very good, when the product is working, when it starts to fail it will reduce dramatically and will be worse than any standard router that costs 1/5 of the price.Cons:The router or power supply will fail. I've deployed two of these routers.
Performance Honda Bountiful
I've had 3 failures with each in the first year. It got so bad I purchased a backup, so my clients wouldn't be down during RMA process. Bountiful has been good about replacing the router and power supply's when they fail, but I will never deploy another one of these.
Do the how much time its cost me to deal with the issues.Overall Review:The original shipping units had a terribly loud fan, the current revisions are better but its still much louder than any other router I've used. Pros:I have owned this router for about 2 years, I own a 3 stories house and I have tried various routers in various combinations to cover the whole house and the backyard as well. I must say this is the only device that has worked so far and worked well! Coverage is amazing; the company is not lying about the power of this device. After-Sale service is very good, they have done their utmost to satisfy me.Cons:Drawbacks are few, but reliability certainly could be improved, I am now on my third replacement (free of charge). First one died during a bios upgrade, second one had a problem when it lost most of it’s power; BountifulWifi replaced it immediately.
