Over 1/3 of the Valentine's exchange list are international members. The majority are members from the Philippines.

What is confusing is that not every one puts the zip code in the same place. LOL!Some have it before the locality/province, some have it after, before Philippines. To make it even more confusing, the addresses come in all different lines. So I looked it up on an international address format website and it said zip should go like this:RECIPIENTBUILDINGHOUSENUMBER STREETNAME DISTRICTNAMEBARANGAY, MUNICIPALITYPOSTALCODE LOCALITY PROVINCEPHILIPPINESEx:Augusto Contreras184 Camarin RoadNovaliches North, Las Pinas1422 METRO MANILAPHILIPPINESSo in order to try to be consistent, I put them all in that format. However, members from the Philippines would know better than me! Is it different based on your locality/province? Or is it always supposed to be in the same place? I知 not sure why so many people do it differently.

Please let me know. This is somewhat hilarious from this Wikipedia article,'PhilPost recommends using postal codes in Philippine addresses. However, most Filipinos (and even foreigners) do not use, let alone know how to use, Philippine ZIP codes, and thus are usually omitted. Omission of ZIP codes, however, is problematic, since it takes longer for mail to reach its intended destination, as well as that it can increase the chances of mail getting lost in the postal system.' In any event, in all of the examples, the zip code is before the Province:Edited to add: Although I never consider Wikipedia an authority on anything! Hi,What I know is that the postal code should always be placed last, after the province. Then, you can put Philippines after.

Zip Code Caloocan City

Because in some areas Municipality and Province is just one information.Augusto Contreras184 Camarin RoadNovaliches North, Las PinasMETRO MANILA 1422, PHILIPPINESIt is because some people would also refer to the same address as.Augusto Contreras184 Camarin RoadNovaliches North, Las Pinas1422, PHILIPPINESThis way it will not be confusing. Zip code should be placed last then we can put Philippines after. I noticed that you do the same in the US.Hope this helps, kind of confusing:-)Regards,Deb. And now a days the post office says the ZIP code is the most important part of the address!I appreciate everyone's input on this. As you can see, there are still varying responses.I would have to agree though, the country should be last on the address. This is required for it to be mailed out of many countries. (So, it probably works fine within the Philippines to be last but not so much coming from other countries.)In terms of before or after the locality/province it appears it is OK to send either way.So I will just leave the lists as they are for now.

Postal Code Caloocan

If someone feels strongly about it and wants to do their envelope one way or the other, that's fine. For the next exchange, I will leave it as the member lists it even if there are different formats on the same list.
