Hp Compaq 6005 Pro Sff Pc Driver
HI, just got a new used HP 6005 sff computer. I have spent the last three days setting it up and it has been a bit of a struggle. You have to figure out stuff that it seems has happened to a lot of people but noone has 'really' come up with a solution for.So, I will tell you what I am doing and need help with. I also just bought a new Asus monitor. I ran a vga cable to new monitor and then the displayport to hdmi to my TV so I could watch stuff from the computer. Well, after a lot of finagling got the two to shake hands (you have to turn computer off and on a few times by the way, noone, anywhere tells you that).The video comes out great on both devices (by the way, the video is way way better on the TV, whoever keeps you telling you to get monitors is just yanking your chain), however, there is no audio coming from the TV, in fact there is no hdmi setting in the speakers area either.Before you tell me to get the latest drivers and software, we, have done this a few times and still a no go. So, is there a special driver you need for sending HDMI audio down the line to the TV?
I have heard and read that this is a major issue, as HP keeps telling everyone that they surely can get audio, but from hours of research noone has assured that possibility. Hi:There should be a separate AMD HD audio device listed under the sound, video and game controllers device manager category, if the PC has HDMI audio.There is a special driver needed to install that, but you should still be seeing a Realtek HD audio for the PC's speakers and a 'High Definition Audio' device (which is what it would be called if the AMD HDMI audio driver is missing).So, if you see a generic HD audio device along with the Realtek HD audio device, install the ATI HDMI audio driver from the link below and restart the PC. Yeah, I downloaded that driver, it won't install, something about not having a driver to support it, not sure what they are talking about.again, a lot of people on the Net are in my same situation. I wish HP would sit down and try to hook up or connect some of the peripherals and cables that are needed in some of these situations.I also would like to know if there is an HDMI driver in that AMD Catalyst install package. I think that the displayport probably doesn't carry audio but the video is fine, in fact more than fine, better than I am used to.

You would think that audio wouldn't be a problem.but I have no idea what happens when you hook a displayport to hdmi female, then hook up a male to male connecting to a monitor or TV.Well, thanks for assisting, any more wisdom will be appreciated, DR.
